"Dilute" was written between May 2017 and July 2017, and makes reference to many true events. At it's core, "Dilute" is about how random acts of violence have become so diluted in the media, that nobody even flinches at the news anymore.
lyrics
Dilute.
Laying bodies on the news
They say they’ll know how many soon
Checkin' my six along the avenue
Dilute, dilute.
Ain’t you gonna dilute me now?
Ain’t you gonna dilute?
Panic in the U.K
Reminisce of Morrissey
He came out of the woodwork
A lone wolf on the scene
Treason of the Manc in May
Claims one for every day
Panic in the U.K
Working like it’s a machine
Scattered corpses on the news
They say they’ll know how many soon
Running down the London Bridge in June
Dilute, dilute.
Ain’t you gonna dilute me now?
Ain’t you gonna dilute?
Gimme, gimme chaos
They be runnin’ they be gunnin’
Panic in Iran, man, wouldn’t a week be something!
Without this
Innocent blood spilling in the news
Looking like the war machine refused
So they’re coming for me and they’re coming for you
Dilute, dilute.
Take a little time to check the clues
They’ve become the poet’s muse
Checkin' my six along the avenue
Dilute, dilute.
